The Concept of Denial


Within our lives, we all have to deal with the daily pressures, which we do in different ways. 

A professional sportsman, although appearing graceful in his/her field, will most certainly fear defeat. A salesman will fear losing the chance of a sale to a colleague, or worse a rival.

The very nature of human beings is to rest in denial and then move forward.

I didn't win today, but I will win tomorrow, as today was just part of my training. I lost the sale today, but I will get it tomorrow. And if all else fails, you can lose yourself in a film, football game or on Facebook etc.


... if the very fear of failure prevents you from performing at all, and you spend all your time in denial, Counselling and talking about the issues will help you to achieve your goals, and turn that fear to your advantage.
